Julie trained at Guildford School of Acting and has worked in theatre, TV, film and voiceover.
She has been touring nationally for the past year in ‘The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel’ as understudy to the five female leads; notably understudying Hayley Mills and Tessa Peake-Jones as Evelyn, Rula Lenska and Belinda Lang as Madge and Paula Dionisotti as Dorothy. Julie performed the roles of Jean and Madge at Richmond Theatre, Lyceum Theatre Sheffield, Theatre Royal Brighton, Festival Theatre Chichester, Liverpool Playhouse and Yvonne Arnaud Guildford. 

Other theatre credits includes multi-roling in the musical The Princess and the Pauper (Mowlem Theatre Swanage) for which Julie had to learn British Sign Language; multi-roling in Two and playing The Manager in Contractions both which Julie also directed for her own theatre company BareBulb Theatre (tour, south-west); Gertrude Stein in Chamber Music (Theatre NoD,Prague); Lady Percy/Henry 1V, Nurse/ Romeo and Juliet, Constance/King John and Adriana/Comedy of Errors (Shakespeare 400 Live Marine Theatre, Lyme Regis) and Lenina Crowne in Brave New World (Harrogate Theatre and TIE tour, Yorkshire). 

Julie’s television credits include the German Rosamunde Pilcher series Radio Sea Breeze, BBC’s Harbour Lights which was filmed in her home town in Dorset, and more recently the victim Sally Lawrence in 10 Steps to Murder. Julie has worked on a number of short films including In My Day, Bear, Blue and Traces. 

Julie has a home recording studio for voiceover work which she proudly built herself over lockdown! 

Prior to drama school Julie gained a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design and worked in the industry for 10 years in London agencies, and in her role as Creative Director she headed projects for clients across the corporate world of finance, business and retail. Her background in this field results in her skill as an artist and competence on a computer. Julie keeps fit with a variety of sporting activities and dance classes.
