“Controller”, “WCM”, "Our" or “We” means West Central Management;
“Recipient”, “Data Subject” or “You” means any one person, agency or another body who receives emails from WCM
“Website” means any website operated by WCM
“Personal Data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable person

DECLARATION:


The data protection declaration of West Central Management (WCM) is based on the terms used by the European legislator for the adoption of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

WCM is committed to ensuring that personal data is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, WCM have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information it collects online.

The use of the Internet pages of WCM is possible without any indication of personal data; however, if a data subject wants to use special enterprise services via our website, processing of personal data could become necessary.

As the controller, WCM has implemented numerous technical and organisational measures to ensure the most complete protection of personal data processed through this website. However, Internet-based data transmissions may in principle have security gaps, so absolute protection may not be guaranteed. For this reason, every data subject is free to transfer personal data to us via alternative means, e.g. by telephone.

1.. Cookies

1.1    A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. 2. Links to other Websites

2.1    Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. Once you click on a link and leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over these other websites. Therefore we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.

3. Data Collection


3.1.    Collection of general data and information through the website

The website of WCM collects a series of general data and information when a data subject or automated system calls up the website. This general data and information are stored in the server log files of wix.com therefore WCM does not draw any conclusions about the data subject. Rather, this information is needed to (1) deliver the content of our website correctly, (2) optimise the content of our website as well as its advertisement, (3) ensure the long-term viability of our information technology systems and website technology, and (4) provide law enforcement authorities with the information necessary for criminal prosecution in case of a cyber-attack.

3.2 Other methods of data collection

We collect personal data of industry professionals in several ways: through email interactions, through our website (see Section 1), through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Spotlight, Spotlight Contacts, Casting Networks UK, Production Intelligence/The Knowledge, various news and industry websites, casting director websites, the Casting Director’s Guild website, Casting Director’s Association website. Please refer to the Privacy Policy of the specific companies listed for further information.

4. Controlling Personal Data


4.1 New Applicant Information
When prospective actors contact us for representation we will collect and store personal data about them. This could include, but is not limited to, name, age, gender, ethnicity, location, business name and contact details. This information will be used to assess their application to the agency and is stored in our secure, password protected applications management system, “Trello”. To review Trello’s Privacy Policy, go to https://trello.com/privacy  Regardless of whether they are accepted or not, this data will be stored for up to 18 months for reference before being deleted.

4.2 Casting Director/Producer/Director/Company Information

Contact details for various industry professionals is collected and stored in our password-protected database “Tagmin”. This information will not be used for mass marketing mail outs or newsletters without your explicit consent. We work solely in the entertainment sector. We do not direct market casting directors, stage or production companies. This means that we will only contact you about opportunities where there is a mutuality of interest and on an individual targeted basis. 4.3. Contact made to us via the website

The website displays WCM’s e-mail address which allows a data subject to make contact. This personal data transmitted is on a voluntary basis and is stored for the purpose of processing or contacting the data subject. There is no transfer of this personal data to third parties.

4.4. Removal of personal data

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal data to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. You may request details of personal data which we hold about you at any time and you reserve the right to ask us to remove your personal data by emailing mail@westcentralmanagement.com

5. Provision of personal data as statutory or contractual requirement

We clarify that the provision of personal data is partly required by law (e.g. tax regulations) or can also result from contractual provisions (e.g. information on the contractual partner). Sometimes it may be necessary to conclude a contract that the data subject provides us with personal data, which must subsequently be processed by us. The data subject is, for example, obliged to provide us with personal data when our company signs a contract with him or her. The non-provision of the personal data would have the consequence that the contract with the data subject could not be concluded. Before personal data is provided by the data subject, the data subject must contact any employee. The employee clarifies to the data subject whether the provision of the personal data is required by law or contract or is necessary for the conclusion of the contract, whether there is an obligation to provide the personal data and the consequences of non-provision of the personal data.
